Reduce lag and pick a closer server

High ping and low frame rate both make swings late. Pick a nearby server and lower Roblox graphics before you change your racket.

Reduce lag and pick a closer server

High ping and low frame rate both make swings late. Pick a nearby server and lower Roblox graphics before you change your racket.

Two different problems

A late swing can be the server or your frame rate. Performance guides suggest this reading of ping. These bands are a player guide's labels, not an official Roblox meter:

Ping How that guide describes it
Under 30 ms No obvious delay
30–70 ms Still smooth
70–120 ms Timing gets harder
Over 150 ms Hard to compete

If the rally looks jumpy on a good connection, you are probably rendering too much. Open the Roblox menu, set graphics to manual, and drop quality to the low end. Fullscreen and the performance stats overlay make it easier to see whether FPS or ping moved.

Server choice

Do not assume the automatic server is near you. Guides tell players to pick a region close to where they are sitting before a ranked set. A few extra seconds in the server list is cheaper than a whole placement set at high ping.

Codes and charms do not change ping. Anything that claims a code will fix lag is not a game reward.

After the game feels stable

Then the usual court rules apply: return to the middle, dash for the ball that is getting away, and use a wall or a tap instead of charging every shot. If the shuttle clips through the racket for everyone in the server, that is a physics report for the community channels, not a graphics slider.
